Una Volta sul Mare takes shape within two historic buildings in the old town of Vieste.
Il Monastero sul Mare, located inside Palazzo San Marco, is a 16th-century building that once housed a monastery.
Today it welcomes three apartments, preserving the building’s identity and its enduring relationship with the sea.
Una Volta sul Mare, from which the project takes its name, is set in a 17th-century historic house at the very tip of the old town.
Here, the sea lies directly in front of you, separated only by a narrow road — visible from the windows, with rocks and water just a few steps away.
The spaces have been restored with care and respect, without altering what time had shaped, allowing stone, light and proportions to remain at the centre of the experience.
Staying at Una Volta sul Mare is not simply about having a place to sleep.
